Amaco Celadon Stoneware Glaze No. CR-41 Lime is a glossy, light green glaze that creates the striking effect crawling. During firing, the glaze contracts and gathers into relief drops of varying sizes, offering an unpredictable, natural texture reminiscent of organic patterns.
It is the ideal material to add unique visual interest and a three-dimensional feel to your projects. Each piece becomes unique, as the patterns formed depend on the thickness of the application and the curves of the object.
Application Instructions
Application Instructions
Application: Apply 1-4 even layers to baked biscuit (Cone 04).
Drying: Allow each layer to dry almost completely, but before any significant cracking occurs. Crawling glazes develop fine cracks as they dry. Handle objects with care before firing.
Density: More coats create larger "drops" of glaze, while thinner coats produce a finer-grained result.

Tips from the studio
Tips from the studio
CR-41 Lime transforms any simple form into something organic and vibrant.
Pro Tip: For greater durability before firing (to prevent the powder from "peeling" during transfer to the kiln), apply it over an Amaco Celadon or underglaze. Remember: more layers will result in more cracks/cracks when drying.
